There is a real split in the GOP party. Some of them are trying to tap down the control and idiology of the extreem wing. Interesting read.

TAMPA — The Republican National Convention Rules Committee voted 63-38 to approve a new rule allowing granting the Republican National Committee — and Mitt Romney — sweeping new powers to amend the governing document of the GOP.

  1. There is a real power struggle between the 3 groups in the GOP. The only thing is not one of those groups are main stream America. It looks like the Daddies Warbucks of the party are going to seize control of the convention. You are right, that is not going to go well with the wing nuts. LBJ always said it was better for the snake to be inside the tent then outside because you could keep an eye on it. Ryan was picked for VP and his comrade in arms in the house Akins is being disowned. They know the election is lost to them because of the wing nuts. This is a push back attempt to salvage what they can.

  2. Ron Paul has rented the Sun Dome this weekend at USF. They have been holding a rally all day today. Paul is going to speak Sunday at 3 pm. C-span is covering it. It has been on the local news.
