What Cognitive Dissonance Looks Like

Monday mornings headlines out of Egypt were:

Egypt’s vice president met a wide representation of major opposition groups for the first time Sunday and agreed to allow freedom of the press

This is how Tuesdays headlines read:

Egypt VP: We won’t punish protesters

In Egypt, in the region, here in the U.S. and around the world the social contract is fairly well being shattered. Buckle up the crash dummies.

These headlines brought to you by the oligarchs running MSNBC in their transparent effort to condition us to succumb to their worldview. Pretty much meets the definition of brainwashing. I’ve noted this quite a bit for a while now. It’s very discomforting.

As an afterthought this feels like those stupid Allstate commercials where they forgive us for having an accident. They take our money and then act like they’re doing us a favor by holding up their end of the bargain. Big business and government using the same playbook if you ask me.

One thing you have to keep in mind is that the current Egyptian government is made up of military and ex-military men. So their thinking is by definition very rigid. By the book, no exceptions. This is a very hard nut to crack.

    1. I think C this is well beyond the scope of those military trained persons. The mental conditioning of enire populations takes a much broader and far more sinister approach than they can manage on their own.

We’re being conditioned to accommodate an altered relationship with a completely different perspective than we once knew. And it’s being done in the sense of a finely honed two sided blade that’s been expertly thrust into the heart of the country without our feeling a thing.
